LCP Delta worked with Wales & West Utilities (WWU) to create a toolkit to support local authorities and other local organisations with net zero planning. The toolkit includes an accessible version of WWU’s 2050 Energy Pathfinder, a whole systems simulator which allows organisations to assess the carbon and cost implications of different energy scenarios.
It also contains a Net Zero and Energy knowledge base document which provides information and guidance about the UK energy systems and technologies involved in the net zero transition. The toolkit was designed following stakeholder engagement to understand local organisations’ needs and it was also tested by some of these organisations.
