Katharine Blacklaws

Katharine joined LCP Delta in 2021 as a Senior Analyst in the Consulting team. She has managed several projects in the last year including a comprehensive investigation of hydrogen value chains for National Grid. Additionally, she has worked on projects looking at the future of low carbon heating, particularly considering the energy crisis and how this will affect future investment opportunities. Additionally, Katharine project managed a consortium of partners for an innovation project on large scale energy storage (LTES) that aims to reduce curtailment of renewable energy by storing this as heat for later use.

Katharine has 6 years’ experience working in the energy sector and has worked on a range of projects for a variety of different clients. This has included projects that involve tracking new Renewable Energy developments from planning to fully operational for policymakers, techno-economic modelling of new anaerobic digestor (AD) fuel sources working with academics and regulatory bodies and investigating alternatives to the Supplier Obligation on behalf of a large energy supplier. Katharine is knowledgeable in areas of renewable energy policy, government funding schemes, energy efficiency and fuel poverty.

Katharine holds a BA (Joint Hons) in Philosophy & Politics and an MSc in Sustainability, both from the University of Leeds. She is a PRINCE2 qualified Project Manager (Practitioner Level).
