Andy Bradley

Andy is a partner in our energy team, LCP Delta, having previously led Delta-EE which became part of LCP in April 2022. He has over 30 years’ experience in the downstream energy sector working with industry, manufacturers, policy makers and investors.

Andy moved into the energy transition space in 2010 when I became a director of Delta-EE. He saw opportunities to help build a ‘new energy’ industry that would enable our energy system to move away from the centralised and fossil-based models of the 20th century. He wanted to be part of the solution to the climate crisis, not part of the problem. At Delta-EE he has worked with many of the leading innovators in Europe and Japan, helping them to develop their businesses and launch successful propositions for their customers, and thereby accelerating the energy transition.

Andy's role in LCP Delta is primarily a client facing one, including client engagement, account management, product development and commercial strategy. He is always particularly interested in hearing what we are doing well and what we could be doing better, and what our customers are finding difficult, or will find helpful if we started doing next. The energy transition is still in its early stages and LCP Delta’s goal is to help our clients succeed all the way through to 2040 and beyond.

After 3 years away from in-person events, we were thrilled to welcome our clients back to our New Energy Summit in Edinburgh to discuss the energy transition. Thank you to our sponsors Sunamp and Bright for joining us for the event. We believe that if organisations think big this could be the last energy crisis....

Energy prices would have moved higher this year due to strongly recovering demand and constrained global supply, but the recent speed and extent of the price increase in gas and electricity prices in Europe has caught everyone by surprise. I had a look at the statistics made available by the UK’s National Grid and this...

I’ve always argued that the acid test for Big Oil and their commitment to active, positive participation in the energy transition will come when the oil price crashes. When that happens, will they revert to their core businesses of fossil fuel extraction and processing, while cutting back on less profitable and non-core activities such as new...

Why Covid-19 might not be all bad news for the energy transition The global pandemic is truly an ugly black swan event for the world, disrupting all areas of our society and economy.  At face value, the new energy sector is no exception to this. But we argue here that there are reasons for optimism:...

I spent 20 years in the old energy world of oil and gas. (I know – mea culpa. On the plus side I so far have 10 years in new energy, so only another 10 years to go before I am in credit…). During the first 20 years of my career, I experienced first-hand the critical role of banks and financial...

OVO’s ‘Future of Energy’ event at the Tate Modern on the South Bank in London was ostensibly about celebrating the company’s 10 year anniversary – in which the company, founded by CEO Stephen Fitzpatrick, has grown to around 1.5 million. With the announced acquisition of the SSE retail customer base of 3.5 million pending – subject to regulatory approval...

In this article, Andy Bradley says that sector coupling is rapidly becoming a reality, meaning that whole system thinking – cross vector as well as cross sector – is becoming ever more important. Energy storage has a vital role to play in enabling this more interconnected and dynamic energy system. Read the full article here....

Mostra MCE is a biennial trade fair in Milan covering heating, cooling, water and energy – while having a strong focus on the Italian market, it’s a major international event.  Maria Synodi from our Connected Home team and I had the opportunity to visit and we enjoyed meeting many of our subscribers and industry contacts...
